If you’re looking for marble countertops, but don’t have the space in your budget, you can always turn to the new Nebula series surfaces from Silestone. While nothing will ever quite be the real thing, Silestone’s veined engineered stone comes close, but even more importantly, gives you a marble-like look without the bother of staining or chipping. With prices starting from about $65 per square foot (somewhat more if you include the integrated sink), it’s very affordable and worth checking out.
There are six available colors: Altair, Cygnus, Lyra, Doradus, Merope, and Lagoon. All colors are available in either leather and polished finish. Check out the Silestone Nebula Series webpage for information about colors and more:.

From about $50 per square foot?
Yes, but that’s a starting price. You could end up spending between $50-$100/sq.ft depending on the situation. It’s still a less expensive option than many other popular choices on the market.
Silestone is a great option… and like you said, it doesn’t look exactly like it, but at least it gives it an elegant look and feel. Do you guys do cambria as well? I saw some really nice colors they had this year.
Regards
Yes, we have done Cambria in many kitchens & baths. It’s quite popular.
Wow, silestone really does seem to be the better choice, certainly when it’s compared to marble. Especially in this economy, this can be sort of like a marble dupe.
Silestone is a great alternative to marble. And it offers just the same range of colors, right?
Yes it is. Silestone’s Lyra (which is now featured in our new Mansfield showroom) is a great alternative to a Carrera marble. There are many other colors that extend past the natural marble color palette as well, but carry a warranty against staining and cracking.
I love this thread. With the Silestone countertops, your kitchen tends to look really beautiful. You will be amazed at how this magic is possible
