The master bath in a new construction in Chestnut Hill, MA designed by Kitchen Views designer Ed Nunes was awarded Best of Design on Houzz. The Design awards are chosen by the over 40 million monthly users on Houzz, the leading platform for home remodeling and design.
With his and hers sinks, an ample amount of counter space and storage, and cabinetry with a stunning dark finish, it is easy to see why this bathroom is popular among the Houzz community. To see this project on Houzz, click here.
The new construction, completed in 2015, also features a kitchen and wet bar designed by Ed. The kitchen, complete with a stunning mix of dark wood and white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and coffered ceilings, is full of classic New England charm.
A spacious island adds plenty of room for cooking, gathering, and dining. The decision to use a dark finish causes the island to stand out and provide visual interest while using the same door style and architectural details allows the space to seamlessly flow together.
The carefully chosen layout places the necessities within a close and convenient proximity to each other. Not only does this make cooking and cleaning much easier, but also creates a cozy and at-home feeling in an otherwise large space.
Additional storage and counter space placed conveniently off to the side of the kitchen is perfect for displaying carefully curated decor pieces and acting as a landing zone for the busy family. The glass cabinet doors in the same style as the ones seen above the stove continue the flow of the space from one end to the other.
The final piece is a wet bar off of the kitchen, a perfect space for entertaining. Using the same dark finish as the island along with the same cabinetry door styles found in the kitchen continues the transition out of the kitchen and into other areas of the home.
This is not the first time a Kitchen Views designer has won Best of Houzz. Designer Lisa Zompa won in 2016 and 2017 for her work in a Pawtucket, RI remodel. Check out the blog post for that project here.
